Access Reports OLE Image Active X Controls

Question:

I am very aware of all the different opinions and techniques available as they relate to displaying images on reports.  However, I write custom reports for an accounting and project management package where our users our presenting Proposals and Invoices to Clients as well as printing catalogs of items in Inventory where there could be 50+ pages of reporting that included linked OLE Images.  Even with small images size, usually under 100kb, this presents problems with viewing reports in print preview and cycling through the pages as well as printing reports – sometimes the application just stops.
Instead of previewing page by page I have users print to Adobe PDF or change the printer settings to spool the entire file before it is sent to the printer – this does seem to help in some cases.
Through web searching I recently came across an Active X Control, from ammara.com, which is the DPPix Active X.  It seems this control could resolve these issues for our clients but wondered if anyone has any experience using this type of control, if there are alternative available – or if there is a method we could use as an alternative that I am not aware of.

Solution:

With all your needs, I would use DPPix.  Everything I have heard about it is it is very reliable and stable. and if you do have problem, you have someone to go to. Roger Leban has retied from Access and has stopped supporting his apps.
