Exchange 2010 POP3 and ActiveSync not working on migrated users
Question:
Hi,
I have an Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010 server installation. CAS, HUB and Mailbox roles are all on the same server on both versions.
Now I have moved all the users, from the 2007 to the 2010 – and, discovered that users that normally would use POP3 no longer can’t connect through POP3. The service is running etc., and I have tested the functionality with a newly created user on 2010, then it works fine.
The same goes for ActiveSync on a mobile unit for another user – it cannot connect to his mailbox, but it works fine with the newly created mailbox.
Are there any solutions to this rather odd problem?
I have been thinking of a work-around, where I export all users mailboxes to PST files, delete their mailboxes and create new ones for them where I re-import the PST files to. But, honestly, I find that as a “very last resort workaround”
Hope anyone is able to help on this matter.
Cheers!
Solution:
I missed the part about clicking on the Advanced Button – Sorry.
Here is what needs to be ticked (see diagram):
