Question:

How do I set Yahoo IM to save offline messages ONLY (the ones I get that people send me when I’m not online and then I get them when I sign on).  I want to set up Yahoo IM so that the offline messages are not deleted when I close the offline messages window.  I don’t want to turn on Archiving if at all possible.
Related info:
I read some where on help.yahoo.com that there is an offline messages folder which is stored locally on your hard drive.  Where is this folder located?

Hi.
In yahoo messenger -> messenger -> preferences -> archive -> check the first option….yes, save all messages…
Like this you will record any message received by anyone. If not, if the second option is check as ussual, the messenger will automaticly delete all messeges and archive before it closes after sign out.
To view older messages:  messenger -> preferences -> archive -> view archive….and select the contact for who you want to see again old messages or open the desired user as a instant chat, like an ussual chat, and click …view recent messages…
