Question:
Hi All,
We are using Citrix XenServer 5.5 on multiple servers with local disk and want to be able to easily move a vm from one host to another without using a resource pool/shared storage.
At present we are turning each vm off then using the “export to backup” option then using the “import from template” on the new host. This process works ok but takes a fairly long time to complete in comparison to the “clone” option available with VMware ESX when using Virtual Center.
Solution:
I guess the best way is to export the VM to local HDD of a windows machine from Host A and import in Host B..
