Outlook 2003
Question:
Our CEO has an intermittent problem. When he sends emails to a paticular user, The email that gets put into his sent items is just a message notification that the email was sent. The actual email is not part of the entry. There is also an attachment sysmbol with a number and size ibelow the subject field. We use Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2203. Unfortunately our CEO is not a patient man. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Solution:
If you click on Tools – Trust Center, there are a list of different options on the left for you to choose from….one of those being Add-ins. If you click on that you will see the different add-ins that are used with Outlook. Add-ins can do a number of different things, and many times 3rd party add-ins can cause issues with different features of Outlook. When Outlook is opened in safemode, these add-ins are disabled. So, if the problem goes away when Outlook is opened in safemode, then it is likely an add-in that was causing that problem.
