Retrieving data off of two laptop hard drives that were on a RAID 0 setup?

Question:

I have two laptop hard drives that were on a raid 0 setup on an alienware laptop. I need to retrieve the data from them so but the data is spread out among the two drives. An ideal solution would be a USB raid 0 adapter for laptop hard drives. Can anyone show me where I might buy one?

Solution:

In order for this to work, you would need at least the same family RAID controller as the original.  In advanced RAID setups, the RAID information is written to both the controller and the drives, but I suspect this is not the case, since it is a laptop.  The RAID is probably a motherboard chip, and that means this will not work.  If you could get the system to boot on the laptop and used RAID Reconstructor from www.runtime.org to create a working copy of the RAID, that might do it, but if the RAID is the boot volume, I don’t think this will work.
