Secure or reduce email header information

Question:

Hey Guys,

When we send a email using the exchange….the receiver of the email finds the FQDN of the server which is mail.domainname.org…..and also the exchangerserver.domainname.local with the local 192.168.1.6 ip address….and the ISP IP as well.

Is this ok…or it can be secured? I have never seen a local IP address in a email header….

Please guide.

Solution:

If someone gets in a position to use that information, you have much bigger problems to worry about. Personally I wouldn’t be concerned about it, hiding the information will slow a hacker down for about 15 seconds, if he isn’t concentrating.

Simon.
