Question:

Hi Experts, I have a SBS 2008 system with WSUS 3.0 installed on it. I get daily reports saying that self update is not working. I found this post that tells me how to fix it: http://www.expta.com/2008/06/fix-for-self-update-is-not-working-in.html
The problem that I found is that Default Web Site is not running. When I attempt to start it, I get the error message: “The Web site cannot be started. Another web site may be using the same port.”
I do use SharePoint on Port 80. However, i am really weak in IIS configuration.
Do any of you have suggestions on any of:
1. how to move my SharePoint to Default Web Site?
2. How can I add a Self Update Virtual Directory to my SharePoint and have everything work?
3. A better way to resolve this problem?

If you goto: http://companyweb do you just get a 404 error?

I might be best to run through this repair guide for Sharepoint Services:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd540850(WS.10).aspx

It looks to me as if someone has installed another sharepoint website or instance and it is not interfering with the rest of the setup.
