Question:

How can I fix my missing SOUND icon located at the bottom right hand corner of my XP Pro laptop?  I keep going to control panel/sound and audio devices properties and unchecking/checking the “place icon on in the taskbar” setting every single time.

Any ideas?

Solution:

If you right click on the taskbar click properties and then where it says hide inactive icons and then click customize and where is shows volume set it to always show.
