The error went away for a few days, but it is now back again. I am again unable to open the Administrative Tools –> Active Directory Users and Computers. It does not open and gives an error that “Microsoft Management Console has encountered an error and needs to close.” Further details, such as error screen caps, are attached.

Normally, when this occurs, restarting the computer has fixed the problem, but that has not worked today. I’ve restarted, uninstalled, restarted and reinstalled with no luck.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Solution:

Opening MMC before opening any other programs seems to fix the problem.
