Question:

I am looking at buying a cargo trailer. The rear door is 45.5 inches by 69 inches.
The piece of furniture I worry about as being able to get thru that door is a sofa. What is the widest sofa on the market? Not length or height, but depth from the front to the back. I have seen some where the back top leans backward and is wider up there than at the bottom.
My other trailer had an opening in the back of 8 feet wide and about 52 tall. This new trailer with 69 high is a benefit but I worry about the 45.5 wide. What pieces of furniture are deeper than that?

I was unable to find any with its smallest dimesion (which is all that really matters to fit it somewhere) greater than 46″. In other words, if it is not a gargantuan sofa, it should fit in the truck.

Still, I would recommend you measure it.

If the sofa fits through your front door, though, the chances are very high that it will fit in the truck, as most doors are less than 40″ wide.
