Question:

I currently have a Blackberry enterprise server Version 5.0 running on the same hardware as my isa 2006 server. When I enable the microsoft firewall service my blackberry server fails to communicate and I get a bunch of application warnings in the event viewer for the blackberry Agent, messaging and sync service. Can someone tell me what ports to open or what access rule to create to allow these services to run locally?

Solution:

Create a custom protocol for TCP port 3101 outbound and then create a firewall rule to allow it. Remember to allow the ISA server as well as your networks, since the ISA server sees itself as seperate from everything else.
